We have SO been looking forward to this vacation for months. We're just getting started and I can tell that this is going to be a trip to remember. We started out Saturday morning with the hoppin town of Blaine, Washington as our first destination. We were totally blessed to stay at the home of one of my former coworkers. She lives in a gorgeous home built in 1910 with tons of charm.
We spent the afternoon roaming the streets of Blaine and walking down to the marina
park.
park.
We left yesterday morning to head to Whistler up the gorgeous sea to sky highway. What a drive! We stopped for a quick bite to eat in Horseshoe Bay and then made it all the way to Whistler without having to stop. Man that drive is so beautiful. Colter had a good poker face on, but I'm sure he enjoyed it to.
We were thrilled to discover that our condo is located right next to the most amazing breakfast place that we ate at before when we came to Whistler 4 summers ago. Banana bread french toast anyone? We got a few laughs and chuckles as we unloaded our never ending luggage... Baby +
traveling light does not exist. Granted we did feel slightly crazy as we unloaded the
disassembled jumperoo and the exercise ball. haha.
Our condo is absolutely amazing. It has 2 bedrooms and 2 baths (one with a jet tub!!!). The living room looks out to pine trees and a view of Whistler mountain. Our deck has a brand new hot tub that we enjoyed last night. After settling in and letting Colter get his 20 minutes of jumping in, we walked through the village, visited the visitors center, and got some groceries.
Colter was more than ready for bed after a long day of being in the car seat!
We are enjoying a lazy morning today. Colterman is treating us with a long nap and we have the window open to listen to the rain that has been falling steadily since 4 this morning. I am thankful that God has given us this rain so we can slow our pace down and just enjoy being together. Our only plan for today is to try to make it to the sports complex for some swimming!
