my husband

He's amazing. I could never ever do this parenting journey without him. He's my constant encourager, he keeps me sane after long days, and he loves me with deep devotion. There are so many little things that Ben does on a daily basis to ease the load of parenting that I so appreciate. I've tried to write down a few because my memory isn't great these days.

When Madison was in her evening fussy period around 6 weeks, he offered to rig up a system to bounce Madison while giving Colter a shower so I could get a break.

Before Madison started going to sleep on her own, he would always be the one bouncing Madison nightly for up to 2 hours

He has driven down to the gas station for half baked ice cream more times than I can count. He also brings me home treats like a random truffle or a cookie from specialtys bakery.

If I ever need help in the night, he's willing to do it.

During my first week alone with the kids, he asked his boss if he could get off at 4 so he could be home earlier.

One day I was feeling a little frazzled with not having time to get ready any more, and I mentioned just wanting to have my brows waxed and my legs shaved. That night he told me to take as long of shower as I wanted, and the next day he scheduled a brow appointment.

As I'm dropping the pregnancy weight, not many of my jeans fit any more so one day totally unprompted  he walked down to Express and bought me two new pairs of jeans.

He's constantly encouraging me to go out with girl friends, or to get out for a little bit by myself on the evenings and weekends.

He always has a hug available and wont ask questions if I randomly start crying out of nowhere.

I call him the entertainer because he bursts in the door every night as if he's spent the day at the spa, not work. I have no idea where he gets the energy.

I simply love this man. My soulmate.
