California love

Are you tired yet? We just kept going on our southwest adventure! The third and final stop of our trip was Hemet, to visit Ben's parents and grandparents. It was the perfect way to end our trip because we pretty much just played all day long. Colter was in heaven in their backyard. There was so much for him to destroy , play with. Mary & Greg were so gracious with letting him check things out- hopefully they will be able to figure out what they planted in their garden since one of his favorite past times was pulling out the sticks that had everything labeled and hopefully their fountain works ok after he decided it was fun to put just about everything but the kitchen sink in it. What a life for a little boy, wandering around in sandals and a diaper in the warm sun, playing with everything imaginable, surrounded by about 6 people who just love you to death.

                                            

Another day we visited Greg and some other family friends at school. The kids adored Colter and he thought they were pretty spectacular as well. My favorite story was when a boy kept coming up to the paper towel holder pretending to blow his nose just so he could be close to Colter. At one point a girl in the class came up next to the boy and said "I know you are just pretending and you really just want to be by the baby" to which the boy replied, "well, yeahhhh."

We also got to play in a fun pool of one of Mary and Greg's friends. I'm pretty sure Ben was in heaven doing cannon balls, hanging out in the deep end, and trying to figure out how to stay just one more minute in the water.

                               

Besides playing non-stop, we had a few fun outings. One day we ventured to the beach for Colter's first trip to the ocean. We couldn't have picked a better day. We had perfect weather, a great lunch, and Ben's friend Dave even drove down to hang out with us. 

Colter could not be loved more. What a great way to end our trip.
