Austin & Kelsey tie the knot!!

Whew, what a whirlwind two weeks! If you've been wondering about the absence on the blog, it's because we've been having a blast celebrating, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Our first leg of the trip took us to AZ. If Colter wasn't already confused about the 50 degree difference in the weather, he most definitely was confused when we kept carting him around to different places- one night at Nana's, one night at a hotel, then back to Gilbert, etc. My brother and Kelsey packed the weekend full of fun things. As if getting married isn't a big deal, my brother also rocked his college graduation the day before! So proud of this guy!

My sweet hubby hung out with Colter for both graduations because he would have been miserable. They hit up the Tucson children's museum for some fun during one of them.

Back in the valley Jess & I got to get pedicures with Kelsey and her bridesmaids. Later that evening was the rehearsal dinner at the rental house my aunt Char and her family were using. So fun to catch up with my mom's side of the family, the uncles from Texas, and my inlaws.

The wedding wasn't until the afternoon on Sunday, so Ben and I got to walk to paradise bakery in the morning to a mother's day breakfast, (and well, two cookies because it's mother's day and I can!) Later that day my mom and I set up some of the reception.

The ceremony was absolutely beautiful. Despite the 100 degree temp at the time of the ceremony, it really was gorgeous. My brother in law Mark gave a great message, Kelsey looked absolutely stunning, and it was so special to see my brother get emotional during their heartfelt vows. I seriously could not have picked a more perfect mate for my brother.

I kicked myself after the wedding was over for not taking any pictures. Ben and I were seriously following Colter in and out of the doors the entire time. He would walk outside, realize it was hot, and then go back in, only to turn right back around and do the same thing! He did love the music and would walk right up to the speaker and do his classic hand wave.  I'm hoping the photographer will get some pictures out soon so I can show off Colter's outfit, but he was dang cute. He hung in there like a trooper until almost 9 pm. You know he's tired when there was disco lights, rockin music and he just laid his head on my shoulder on the dance floor.

I did get the chance to chat with some people including probably my first friend ever, Ashley Spilsbury.

After returning from Flagstaff, we got together at my dad's house for some delicious bbq and pool time.

We also squeezed in a couple visits with friends. We went out to dinner with Keri (the friend that I can go without seeing for years and then just pick right up again), and Shannon- one of my closest childhood friends who just announced she's having a baby!!!!

The day after the wedding we spent time with the Heavilands before their flight, and Mary & Greg before they headed back to CA.

What a beautiful, whirlwind first leg!!
