Easter 2014

It was a beautiful Easter weekend to celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus. Because of this gift, I can receive daily grace that keeps me going.

On Saturday our friends Matt & Adelle hosted an Easter egg hunt and a birthday party for their son Finn. They are living out in Arlington right now and have the best area for an egg hunt! They hid over 300 eggs! Fun was had by all and I may have snuck some of the best candy :)

Easter morning the kids checked out their Easter "baskets" (we left our one basket at Adelle's so the kids had piles of Easter grass on the ground.. ha!) Colter saw a red digger at a toy store many months ago and wanted it really bad. I told him maybe for Easter. This kid hangs on to every word and he kept talking about the red digger any time I brought up Easter. Finally... he and the red digger were reunited on Easter. haha

Church was family style and my favorite part by far were the baptisms. After the service, they had a bubble machine for the kids, as well as balloons. It was such a gorgeous day and just one of those moments dripping with passion.. for the beauty of the resurrection.. for the love of family nearby.. for the way that Seattle sparkles in the Spring. It was really just sweet.

It shouldn't come as a surprise that I love to throw parties and fill our house with loudness and chaos. I got really into planning out the table for Easter and unfortunately, that's the only thing I ended up taking pictures of the whole evening. I'll attribute it to the fact that when all my siblings and their families come over, it's a full to the brim party. It was such a fun evening being together.
