We started the month with potty training. I talked about it in a previous post, but it went a million times better than expected. We are still working on having him go #2 in the toilet (right now he waits until we put a pull up on him at night and then he goes and tries to "clean it up" which has led to numerous nasty disasters).
March was a busy house project month. It started by trying to find a paint color. Our walls were so gold/beige it was hard to figure out what the color would actually look like. We ended up trying 10 different samples and picked the top right one.. you'll see when we're finished that it's a lot lighter once it's on the whole wall.
This lass is not the best sleeper and usually gets up before her brother in the morning and after nap.
Usually once a week I will load up the kids in the morning, go through the starbucks drive through and then take them on some sort of "adventure" .. we've checked out the bus barn, the parking garage, the temple that hangs all kinds of lanterns around the property, and multiple construction sites. The kids love it and I love a chance to enjoy a hot drink that doesn't need to be reheated 5 times.
We went to the children's museum multiple times this month- this time was with Adelle and her kiddos.
I went out to dessert with my friend Jessica and we definitely consumed all of the desserts in the picture. Amazing.
In preparation of moving out all the furniture to tear up the carpet, and eventually selling our couches, I opened up the back of our couch and hit pay dirt with all the stuff I found!
I wasn't around when Ben and some friends ripped up our carpet and linoluem, so here's the aftermath picture. I lived with no floor, oven and dishwasher for a week. It didn't end up being that bad, but I sure missed cooking by the end of the week. I had to change the kids' clothes 3 times a day because they got so dusty!
While the floors were being torn out, we met my mom at the children's museum.
We met up with my mom another time on a beautiful sunny day.

In addition to the dusty floors causing multiple outfit changes, we also played out back a few times which resulted in the muddiest clothes i've ever seen. BUT, they had an absolute blast.
Colter stayed up one night to help us paint.. Don't worry he's still wearing his awesome fire helmet often :)
Family dinner at my sister's (Ben was working on the floors)
Another beautiful sunny day means being outside as much as we can!!
Our Home Depot/Lowes expenses were through the roof this month.. we made quite a few trips for tools, paint, etc. Fortunately, the kids think the lighting department is the coolest place ever!
We celebrated "Pi" day by having dinner at Jessica's and eating some delicious berry pie.
Trying to do this lady's hair is like trying to hold a bag of snakes. She's a wiggle worm!! One day I managed to get some pig tails in! cuuuuuuuuuuuute
Family dinner at Aus & Kelsey's
After the first long day of working on the floors, our kitchen looked like this, and the amazing floors looked like this.
Happy St. Patrick's day! This was my attempt at a rainbow fruit plate.. not too bad but certainly not pinterest worthy :)
Ok . maybe we had more nice days than I thought. We started the day at a super tasty donut shop and then tried a new park in Everett.. it was awesome!
We love Bothell Country Village..
We are slowly destroying the bark pit.. one shovel at a time.
Met up with the Grants at a new pizza shop.
It's an Edmonds kind of day!
The house finally got put back together!
