We are back from an incredible vacation.. It's amazing what a week of relaxing will do
for you! From the moment we landed and got into our red mustang convertible at the airport until we got out of the water 2 hours before our flight, it seemed like our lives were the music video for "Don't worry be happy" Here is a taste of one of our drives:
We got our first dose of island charm when we checked into our first stop, The Garden Island Inn. I can't say enough great things about this place. It is right by the beach, super cheap AND they have the nicest staff. They greeted us with a box of chocolates for our anniversary and even let us borrow a cooler for the whole week so we could keep our food cold on the drive to the north shore.
The second place we stayed was just as incredible. We were told about the Jungle River Hideaway by my coworker who went there on her honeymoon 5 years ago. It was absolutely incredible!! Here is a video tour so you can get a feel for it!
Most of our days were spent on the beach, or driving to some different island destination.
Some of the highlights include:
Spouting Horn at sunset
Waimea Canyon
lots and lots of treats
the Kilaleua lighthouse
an awesome dinner out for our anniversary
paddle boarding & kayaking
some awesome rain storms
and lots of kisses
What a way to celebrate my birthday, our anniversary AND the last trip before the little one arrives.
