I missed the kids and Ben like crazy, but I had such a fun time having tons of uninterrupted conversation, eating out at a bunch of fun places, not having any sort of schedule, and going to sleep/waking up when I wanted.
One of my favorite things about the trip was getting a visual of Keri's life in Chicago. I got to see her new house, her favorite places around the city she lives in, and where their favorite spots are in downtown.
Here's Keri's cute, historic home built in the early 1900's.
It was such a goregous time of year to visit. The trees were such beautiful colors. I loved their tree lined streets
We stopped in at a brewery to pick up a gift for Ben as a thank you for watching the kiddos.
I love this cathedral right in the middle of downtown.
We made a pit stop at the lego store to get some goodies for the kids.
downtown shenanigans
Keri lives near an incredible bahai temple. Everything was symmetrical and perfectly maintained. Such a beautiful place.
I loved the sky over lake Michigan.
Oh the food. goodness.. everything was SO good!
Check out these trees. I love all the green space in Chicago and in the suburbs!
