Cama Beach 2012

We managed to book 2 cabins during a weekend in the summer at one of our favorite spots in Washington, Cama Beach. Even better was that one of the cabins was waterfront! There probably aren't many places to stay (other than tent camping of course) where you can pay $80 and have a view like this.

Colter was at such a fun age for this adventure. The last couple times we took him were fun, but he was so little there wasn't much for him to do. This time he loved throwing rocks in the beach (which we had to watch carefully since he tended to try to run right into the water), stealing other kids' shovels and carrying them around for hours, swinging on the swings, going for walks, and eating outside.

life was grand until both Colter and I got a stomach virus on the last day. I sped home at 6 am on Sunday to get to the comfort of our bed, and as far as Colter goes, it took us a while to figure out he was even sick because he threw up and then went about his chattering, laughing and playing like nothing happened.

Can't wait to go back next year!
