Lets start with some highs:
play time with dad- it is so fun to watch these two interact in their own unique way.
fun time at the park. We soaked up some cold, but gorgeous weather. Every time i'm at the waterfront in Edmonds, i'm reminded what a gorgeous place we live in!
caspar babypants- we actually saw caspar babypants in concert!! Granted, the room was totally packed and we had to sit outside, but we still saw some glimpses of the main singer, and we heard googly eyes!
I hosted a "Jill's favorite things" party for Jill's 31st bday. Such a fun time with an amazing group of ladies
I attended a baby shower on Saturday for Melanie, who is due with baby Cash in April. Almost the last baby of "the boom" of 2012, but not quite :)
And the lows:
Colterman still loves to learn about things by putting everything in his mouth. Because of this, no matter how much I wash his hands, he still gets sick a lot. Lately it seems like he'll be healthy one week, and then sick the next. The current sickness is quite the doozy. Four days of crying, boogers, humidifiers, broken sleep, and short naps. He'll be well soon and I'm trying to soak up the snuggles, but man it's tiring on everyone!!
Cry it out- night wake ups! Ok, this is really a low, and super high. We were hoping that Colter would magically start sleeping through the night by 1 year, but it was only getting worse. His 1 time a night wake ups, were turning into 2, 3, sometimes 4. When my sister's newborn was doing better at night than our 1 year old, we knew it was time to do something. The first night he cried for 2 1/2 painful hours. Man was that tough. The night was not without some humor though. My sweet man was trying to be supportive, but was so tired that he was saying some pretty hilarious things. Here's a drawing depiction of one of our conversations.

Oh, the joys of being a parent. I can remember the sleepless nights we had with Ben. They just made us love him more. Colter looks great so you have to be getting it right.
oh that is hilarious. Oh you are so talented with your cartoons.
Kids are great for reminding us that tomorrow is another day and you never know what life will bring.
One thing you do know is that you will love him more and he will make you know life is good!
