You are still my little man, but you are in fact a big boy! Your hair adds to your length quite a bit, and your 3-6 month pants are already super tight in the waist. You have left me with 8 packs of size 2 diapers that we can't use because you were blowing out several times a day. That's right, you are well into size 3 and I'm wondering how long those will last.
Now onto the fun new things you are doing!
Here are some firsts this past month:
First time in the bumbo:
First time sleeping through the night! Amen to that! You slept from 9-6 and it was glorious. It only lasted one night so far, but hey, we'll take it. You're still doing really well at night, usually only one wake up, but you have started to move your wake up time closer to 6 which makes for a tired mommy!
First trip to the library. Things went smoothly until I tried to prop you up in the wooden rocking chair pictured in the background. You tipped over and bonked your head on the wooden arm rest and started wailing in the quiet library. There was no place I could hide, but fortunately you calmed down quickly. I am so excited about many future trips to the library with you.
You have made a lot of developmental changes this month. I noticed one day out of the blue that you were holding a toy in your hand. You are now batting at toys, grasping onto your burp rags and bringing them to your mouth, and sucking on your hands non stop. You still absolutely love your toy bar on the bouncy seat and now hit the toucan non stop. You and your bouncy seat are best friends. You can be crying non stop and we will set you down in it and you will stop immediately. You are getting better & better at tummy time and are getting your head quite high off the ground!
By far my favorite thing from this past month is that you have found your voice. I absolutely love to hear you chat away. We can be having a really hard day and then out of the blue you'll bust out a lengthy conversation that will just melt my heart.
Colter man, I love you so much. I have turned into a ball of mush now that I am a mom. Books I used to read all the time without crying now make me ball. TV shows that show moms and their kids always bring a lump to my throat. There's nothing sweeter than a late night snuggle with you with your soft sticking up hair tickling under my chin and your too long of fingernails scratching my arm.

The tummy time pic in the yello shirt is amazing!
Such a poignant message from the littlest porcupine mom...he is a very handsome boy! You've just scratched the surface of what lies ahead for your family...thrills, chills and spills. Hang on for the ride!
I love the videos of Colter expressing himself. The pictures videos help us so much to keep in touch. Thank you Becky for taking the time to keep this blog updated.
