One of the things that's been hardest for me about having a second child is feeling like I miss out on special time with Maddie. Colter got 2 years of constant play time with me, but with the two, I'm always juggling back and forth. One of my goals for the summer was to host a little girl play date and do things that would normally get crazy with an older boy around. My mom watched the older boys outside while we played puppets, read books, listened to music, played with scarves, and set out all the stuffed animals and baby dolls. Love these little girlies.
Gigi and Grandpa stopped into two on their way to the lake house. We met them at Richmond Beach and then finished the day at Menchie's.
The Blue Angels were back in Seattle this year for Seafair! They never disappoint! What was even more enjoyable was watching Colter run in and out of the water. He has always been pretty hesitant around water. He doesn't like to get splashed, doesn't like his hair to get wet, and doesn't even really like to get his clothes wet. Lately he's really taken to getting pretty deep in the water. He kept running in and out saying "cheer for me!" He loves to hear how he's so brave. I love seeing this little man challenge himself.
Well there it is.. the month of July all wrapped up in a pretty bow. It was a good one!
