We had such a fun weekend jam packed full of adventure. On Saturday morning we ate breakfast at our friend Jackie and Jason's house and then walked down to a nearby stream for a salmon release. Colter was so excited to watch the fish swim away! Definitely going to be a repeat tradition for us.
Saturday night we went to a park in Edmonds for a goodbye party for one of the pastors at our church.
On Mother's Day, Ben made amazing red velvet crepes with a chocolate ganache on top and marscapone filling inside. yummmmmmm
He got me the most beautiful yellow roses.
You can see the hearts in the background he taped up. I also got a love coupon book, and a bunch of different love notes.
At church on Sunday, we dedicated Madison. It was really special to be on stage with some of our closest friends- the Blankenships and Grants.
The verse we chose is 2nd Corinthians 12:9 because of Madison's middle name, Abrielle, which means "God is my strength." 9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.
