Father's day is super special this year- not only is it the first for Ben with Colter outside my belly, but we also found out we were pregnant right around this time last year. I remember being at the grocery store and seeing bottles of dad's rootbeer and thinking "If I'm pregnant, how fun would it be to give him a bottle of this!" I purchased one on a whim and it turned out I needed it!
What a difference a year makes:
For Father's day, we had a yummy breakfast, gave dad his gifts (and we discovered Colter's FAVORITE new toy, the krinkly tissue paper), went to church, had a great burger, and spent the evening at Alki. Great day for a great man!
I've written about Ben as a daddy many times in different entries, I just can't say enough what a blessing he is to Colter and I. I honestly don't think I've heard him complain once about anything I've asked him to do to help whether it be empty the diaper genie for what seems like the millionth time that week, or asking him to get Colter back to sleep at 4:00 am when he needs to get up at 5:30. Colter & I are so thankful for you poppa!
