4 months old

Man it's easy to get behind on blogging. I figure I better start somewhere, so i'll give an update on the every growing, always changing little man. At his four month well check, he weighed in at 15 lb. 9 oz and was 24.5 inches long. I can't get enough of his rolls. He's such a solid, yet squishy little man.

Levi continues to be a really easy, sweet baby. Besides when he's in his car seat, he rarely cries, and offers lots of smiles. He's extremely verbal, and has some seriously loud vocal cords. He can let out some REALLY loud happy shrieks... It sounds like a terydactal. He likes to think that 4:30 is a good time to wake up in the morning, so I just let him talk and talk and talk.. it goes on for almost an hour before he finally falls back asleep! He's an early riser, and is usually up by 6. He typically takes two short naps in the morning (around 40 minutes) and a long nap in the afternoon (2-4 hours). He has been only getting up once a night (around 4:30), which is amazing! For starting out as such a bad sleeper, he sure has made up for it!

We are in the middle of a transition.. away from baby things like the swing, and the rock and play, and into big baby things like the jumperoo, the bumbo seat,  riding in the big boy stroller, and facing him out in the ergo. I seriously can't believe how fast he is changing and growing. He fits solidly into his 3-6 month clothes, some already feel too tight!

We went through a random nursing phase where he only wanted to eat on one side, but that's pretty much over with. He nurses every 2-3 hours during the day and then lately only ONCE in the night! We put away the rock and play and he's sleeping in the pack and play full time (Although he prefers our bed the most) . We are getting close to needing to do some cry it out at night time, but both dad and I keep putting it off because we have a soft spot for our little last baby and the whole rocking thing never seems tedious this time around.

His favorite things are sucking on his hand, having a blanket over his face when he's going to sleep, the star on his play mat, standing up,  being held, going for walks, kisses on his neck, bath time, his brother and sister, and going for walks in the big boy stroller.

He's not full on belly laughing yet, but he lets out a noise that sounds like a cough. He loves to have raspberries blown on his belly, and loves neck and leg kisses. He also responds with the best laughs to Maddie's silly antics.

Levi seems to have a pretty strong core and can sit up by himself for a few seconds before he starts to lean over. Still not a fan of tummy time... that is until he finds his hand to start sucking.
