Vancouver!

It's the second year that we have gone to Canada over Memorial Day weekend. This year we explored the city of Vancouver. Even though the weather was crummy, it was still a great weekend away!

We started off our trip by going to Frost donuts in Mill Creek. Ben tried the bacon maple bar and he wasn't head over heels in love like many of the reviews we read.

Saturday afternoon we toured Stanley Park. One of our pit stops was to the awesome aquarium where we saw some really cute beluga whales.

We spent Sunday on foot- taking the sky train in from our hotel and walking all over Granville Island, the waterfront, downtown and Chinatown. We had dinner at an AMAZING restaurant, Bin 941.. if you are ever in Vancouver, go there! Our feet were SO sore at the end of the day.. I think we were in bed by 9:00 :

On Monday, we were planning to go up to the suspension bridge, but because it was so rainy, we decided to skip that event and drive up Cypress Mountain to see if we could see any left over Olympic structures. We made it all the way up only to find everything was closed. Plus it was pouring, so we didn't have a lot of motivation to get out of the warm car :)

All in all, a fabulous city! We loved the great public transportation and the plethora of parks all over the city.
