Friday afternoon my dad and I took James to babies r us to get a present for Saisha, and of course, we had to get James something, so we got him a real "zuma" (that is what he calls guitars) so he didn't have to play his bat anymore.

Needless to say, the bat did not go unused- my dad became the newest member of James' band. This picture was after about 2 hours of zuma playing.

Saturday morning we took James to his little gym class. He had such a fun time swinging on the rings, walking on the balance beam and climbing the wall. It's amazing how much he can do!
Then we went to meet baby Saisha for the first time. I always forget how little newborns are!! She is absolutely precious!

Saturday afternoon we came back to the hospital for Saisha's 0 birthday party.. really it was an excellent excuse to eat a delicious dessert.. I made chocolate maltball cake. yum!

Sunday we came back to the hospital again in the morning and played a lot of zuma in the afternoon.
Monday morning we took James to starbucks (really we needed to get something to keep us awake!) He got a special treat when a firetruck was leaving and they turned on the lights for him.

It was a wonderful weekend. We can't wait to watch Saisha grow up and become her own person.

Thanks for being the best aunt and uncle EVER!!!
Had a great time with my little squirrel boy....but I must say I was "zuma'ed" out after a couple of hours. I think I wore my fingernails down to the quick strumming the bat. What fun though, and James agreed I was the best looking grandpa, too. Of course, he agrees to everything. Bec and Ben were great with him and it was a constant barrel of laughs the whole time. And, I've got a darling granddaughter now. Can't wait to start messin' her up too.
You guys are just the best.
James just screamed right through not having mom and dad because of all the love you gave him.
THey were blessed to have you.
