When the cat's away, the mice come out to play

Ben & I just got done with spending a weekend with James while Jessie and Mark went out of town to the Salish Lodge. After printing out several emails full of tips from my sister, and barely sleeping through the night in anticipation of James waking up, we survived. We couldn't believe how smoothly everything went!

Here are some of the places that we visited over the weekend.. we think it really expanded James' world view quite a bit:

ok ok.. Our adventure really began on Sat. morning. We went for a walk to Starbucks & to my work, met Jess & Mark downtown to drop off their gift certificate and went down to the zoo in the afternoon.

After the zoo, we put James to bed (after feeding him a nutritional meal of course) and he slept from 6:00 pm-8:00 am. Who knew he would be such an amazing sleeper after he started out being so difficult! After church, we put him down for a nap and were surprised when he didn't wake up until over 3 hours later. Jessie & Mark came home literally 10 min. after him waking up.

So needless to say, of the 30 hours that we watched him, he was asleep for 20 of them. 2 of the 10 hours he was awake, he was in the nursery at church. We did have lots of fun when he was awake playing with toys and running down the hallway.

Becky, that looks like you in the mosh pit. Sooooo, little James was a sleepy guy huh? A double dose of Robitussin works wonders doesn't it? That was my trick on you guys when you were being difficult.....nighty-night! Seriously, glad everyone had a good time. Just wait until I get up there. We'll rock the house!.

Jameso you were just being Jameso.
You are so lucky to have an aunt and uncle who love you so much.

I would stick to the parks for your trips in the future though, they are safer.

James will not stop talking about the biker bar. He keeps asking to go back.
